RANK - Swedish Association of New Music Promoters

RANK – Swedish Association of New Music Promoters –consists of more than 30 independent clubs, festivals and societies spread over the whole country. These local societies are active in a large number of musical fields, ranging from notated and improvised contemporary art music to electro-acoustic music and pluralistic combinations.

RANKs´ aim is to give contemporary art music a stronger position on the Swedish cultural scene by establishing new local clubs and by giving support to our existing members. This is to be achieved by creating a platform for cooperation and a powerful network for coordination and information.

By cooperating closely with national organizations as Rikskonserter and the Swedish section of ISCM, RANK strives to make contact with similar organizations in other countries, and thereby ensure a significant Swedish contribution in international music exchange.
